Happy Friday folks ...... How's your week been? Only two more Friday's before Christmas .... just saying! It's the first Friday in December though, and that means there's a new Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge .... the last one of 2018!! We've had a great year on the challenge ..... lots of fabulous entries each month,  and a whole load of amazing winners.  Take It Make It fans ....... you're a very talented bunch! Thank you all for your support. As the festive season is just around the corner, I had to make my inspiration piece a Christmas card ...... plus I still have some more to send! I must say, I'm really liking stamping onto coloured cardstock at the moment and I love this shade of blue from Stampin Up! ..... it's called Blueberry Bushel I started by stamping my sentiment in the centre (from Simon Says Stamp) and heat embossing with WOW's  Platinum Embossing Powder (another current favourite!) I then stamped the snowflakes around the ...

Happy Thursday ...... This week is flying by ..... and surprisingly, I've managed to blog everyday in December so far .... whoo hoo!!  We're only six days in I know ..... can I keep it up all month? ....... I doubt that very much.   Lets see how far I get shall we. Today I'm playing along with this month's CAS Mix Up Challenge  .....   and yes, I'm still making Christmas cards! The theme this month is Emboss Resist ...... one of my favourite techniques and I've teamed it up here with Brushos I started out by stamping the snowflakes onto white cardstock.  I used a blue ink and a silver and heat embossed both with a clear powder, so that the colours wouldn't run when I spritzed with water later The larger snowflakes were stamped using Versamark and then heat embossed in white.  I added the sentiment onto the bottom and heat embossed that in silver. Now for the fun bit ....... I sprinkled Cobalt Blue and Turquoise Brushos onto the card, keeping the powder...

Happy Wednesday ....... My goodness has it done some raining here today.  If it carries on much longer we're going to need a boat!!  The garden at the back looks like a lake ...... Never mind ...... it's the perfect weather for staying cozy and warm, and finishing off all those Christmas cards.  Yeah! I'm almost done ..... I said this week was going to be a good one. I've even got the international cards in the post, and some of the UK ones are all ready to go. They would have been on their way today but, I decided to stay dry and finish off what was on my desk instead ....... This bunch of Jolly Santas are waiting for the little man to collect them ..... 30 cards for all his school pals.  I'm glad the Santa was easy to fussy cut!! Stamped in black ink and heat embossed in clear, coloured with ZIG markers and fussy cut. A little touch of glitter before attaching them onto the cards using a piece of folded acetate so that they bounce a little .... They look so cute! ...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas .........

Happy Tuesday evening ..... Three weeks today and it's Christmas Day!! Well I'm definitely getting in the mood ....... are you feeling all festive yet? Not only is the new tree all done but ....... the old one is decorated now too! Between you and me, I think the new one can still take some more baubles ..... I don't think hubby would agree but, I don't like empty branches!!  Don't get me wrong I'm happy with it ....... finally.  For now anyway ..... and if anyone touches it, there will be trouble!! I didn't have as many decorations to play with for the second tree but, I must say it turned out better than I thought it would.  There were a few more baubles left than I expected ...... (turns out we have quite a few!!) ...... some old favourites, I love these little boots ..... Plus there's a couple of new ones on there ....... this is Alex's, he gets a new one every year .... It does look a little on the red side, and there are a few gaps here and th...

Happy Sunday evening ....... I hope you've enjoyed the weekend. Yeah!!! The Christmas tree is done ....... finally!  Or rather, it will be when I put the last of the baubles on that I got today.  Hopefully there'll be enough on there now.  I'll take some pictures later and you can let me know what you think. The Christmas presents are nearly all bought too ...... they just need wrapping now.  I think I've got everything, I was out shopping this afternoon with the kids ...... they may be easier to buy for now they're older ...... just more expensive!  We met up with hubby ..... he managed to avoid the actual shopping bit, clever that!  We had a lovely family lunch out which was nice .... it's not often its just the four of us. Yes ... the festive season has definitely begun.    It smells like Christmas ..... my festive candles are burning ..... It sounds like Christmas ..... Mr Buble of course The usual decorations are beginning to appear ..... And the Christmas tree is almost done ...... I say almost because, I've run out of baubles!!!!  So far it's taken me six and half hours to get it to this stage ..... When I say I've run out of baubles, that's not exactly true.  I still have boxes and boxes of the things but I haven't got any more that are the right colour ...... arghhhh!! It's a new tree so I've...
